As of Wednesday, 23 December, 2010; there were confirmed eight (8) innocent Apple iPhone 4G owner were screwed by a con man! He is a slick talker and full of shit. Put it this way, he can sell ice to Eskimo in the North Pole! This dodgy crook advertise heavily on the media spends heaps on internet advertising throughout New Zealand. All the victims' iPhone 4G are not bricked and become expensive designer paperweight. Most of the victims are New Zealand with imported iPhone 4G around Auckland Central area.
== How the scam works==
The con man keep on feeding shit to the customer and said that there is "no solution" available yet. To add insult to the injury, he has the guts to demand $85 from each victim. Many are still not aware or awake yet. Note that the con man claims to be some sort of "authority" or legal representative of an American corporation or "chief importer preferred service centre". The look of his $2 shop type junk setup is enough to wake you up.
==What you can do to stop this==
What eats most people up is that he might get away from his hideous crime on innocent Kiwis like:
(1) Willful destruction of property (i.e. damage your iPhone 4G pretending that he can unlock them)
(2) Lost of data contents - after he bricked your iPhone 4G, all your names, phone number, Apple apps that you bought, information that cost you money to collect is totally wipe out.
Under the law, consumer can file a Police report with the Auckland Central Police Station, then proceed to ask the government to clamp down on this crook.

Read before you sign any service form at the con man's $2 shop "expert iPhone repair" centre. Ask for true copy of license issued by Auckland City Council for technical repair. Any Tom, Dick or Harry can pretend to be a brain surgeon. Call up Vodafone authorized dealer to check who is the legit and established repair centre in Auckland. You should ask for trade reference or check with other reputation iPhone repair centre.
