Fun and Amazing! Optical Illusion Moving Patterns (eyes, trick visual, effects, Auckland)

A friend of mine pointed me to these amazing images done by Flickr artist called KRandolph. He used well known patterns done by master of illusions, Akiyoshi Kitaoka, and warped them to create these beautiful modern optical illusions.  (http://tiny.cc/illusion33)

It’s amazing how well these work. Remember, that all of the pictures below are static in nature, and that they somehow manage to fool the eye, and give you impression of continuous motion. To experience this effect in its full capacity, open the images in full size (more inside this article).

Which one did you like most? Which one gives the best effect? Please share your thoughts!

Posted by Abby Technology Limited, Aucland, New Zealand

A French video game fanatic has hunted down and stabbed a rival player who killed his character in the popular online game Counter-Strike. The 20-year old Julien Barreaux reportedly spent six months looking for the player who killed his character in a virtual knife fight. He eventually located his victim, named only as Mikhael several miles from his home in the town of Cambria.

Armed with a kitchen Knife, he went to the man’s house and knocked the door several times. When the man answered the door, Julien plunged a kitchen knife into his chest, missing his heart by less than an inch; a police officer told the court.  http://tiny.cc/videokiller

The victim barely survived the attack and was rushed to the local hospital for emergency surgery. A local police officer told the courts “Barreaux was arrested within the hour and told us he had wanted to see his rival wiped out for killing off his character.”

He was sentenced to two years in jail for causing grievous bodily harm and ordered to take anger management classes. Judge Alexiane Potel described Julien Barreaux as a “menace to society”.

“I am frankly terrified of the disproportionate reaction you could have if someone looked at you the wrong way in the street,” she said.

Strange News: Pea plant grows inside man's lung (Auckland, "David Lim")

http://tiny.cc/pealung

A Massachusetts man who was rushed to hospital with a collapsed lung came home with an unusual diagnosis: a pea plant was growing in his lung.

Ron Sveden had been battling emphysema for months when his condition deteriorated.

He was steeling himself for a cancer diagnosis when X-rays revealed the growth in his lung.

Doctors believe that Mr Sveden ate the pea at some point, but it "went down the wrong way" and sprouted.

"One of the first meals I had in the hospital after the surgery had peas for the vegetable. I laughed to myself and ate them," Mr Sveden told a local Boston TV reporter.

Mr Sveden said the plant was about half an inch (1.25cm) in size.

"Whether this would have gone full-term and I'd be working for the Jolly Green Giant, I don't know. I think the thing that finally dawned on me is that it wasn't the cancer," Mr Sveden said.

He is currently recovering at home with his wife Nancy, who joked that God must have a sense of humour.

Jesus's face 'seen in Google Earth image (weird, strange, news, report, Auckland, "iPhone Services"

The 'face' of Jesus Christ has been 'seen' in an image picked up by Google Earth.
The resemblance was found by a 26-year-old man as he used the mapping website to look for holiday destinations.

Zach Evans, from Southampton, spotted the outline in satellite pictures of a field on farmland near Puspokladany in Hungary.

He told the Sun: "I'm not a religious person looking for images of Mary or Jesus in everything, but this is obvious."

A number of people have claimed to have seen the face of Jesus in recent years.

Last week, Alex Cotton, 38, saw Jesus's face in a drainpipe stain in Coventry.

Toby Elles, 22, from Salford, Manchester pictured an image burned into a frying pan after it caught fire.

Similar images have also been seen on a burned iron in Massachusetts and on an Ikea lavatory in Braehead, Scotland. Technology blogs Technology Blogs Technology Blogs
